Aankalai Nambathey is a 1987 Indian Tamil-language comedy drama film directed by K. Alex Pandian in his debut.The film stars Pandiyan, Rekha, and Ramya Krishnan. Based on the novel Oru Murai Thaan Pookkum (Englishh: It Blooms Only Once) by Stella Bruce, it was released on 27 June 1987.
