The true story behind Doppelgänger: in 1977, the Polish secret service provides one of its agents with the identity of a German born in Poland. The supposed son contacts his “mother,” now living in West Germany, settles there, and awaits orders. Meanwhile, the real son begins to search for traces of his biological family.
