Memento Mori

This experimental film combines collage technique and stop-motion animation to deliver a critical assessment of the environmental crisis fueled by growing consumer culture. By deploying imagery associated at the time with Western — specifically American — culture, the filmmakers employ a dual critique, simultaneously targeting the capitalist West and its emerging manifestations within Soviet society.
