Qeswachaka: El puente de ichu

One of the main characteristics, something fundamental regarding our Intangible Cultural Heritage in Cusco, is that today we can witness evidence, vestiges, and cultural testimonies that are several hundred years old. This is the case of the Inca Bridge of Qeswachaka in the province of Canas: Basically, in addition to finding in the present day a clear example of our ancient technologies in terms of Inca architecture and the construction of royal roads and suspension bridges, we also find a tangible example of how the social, political, administrative, and economic organization was in ancient Peru; we are talking about pre-Columbian state systems. We are fortunate to be able to experience today, for example, the economic model of the Inca state expressed in the construction of this enigmatic bridge.
