Sacred Disease

Sacred Disease is a two-colour animated film exploring language and its power over the body when consumed by the performance of romantic partnership. The script—developed from the TV series Sex and the City, The Heroides by Ovid, and Renèe Helèna Browne’s own experiences—brings classical and contemporary sources into dialogue to explore desire, narration, and the ways speech becomes embodied within intimate relationships. - Images Festival
