The Grass and the Water

The film takes place in a pioneer camp during Khrushchev's "thaw." It's the story of a boy's entry into life. The hero's first love, for a beautiful girl named Sonya, is not so much love as a premonition of love—a premonition of something important that the world around him reveals to him.
