Swarupa, an introvert, fails to express her love to Kushal, who falls for Abala, a rich and beautiful woman. However, things take a sharp turn when greedy Abala leaves him for a wealthier man. Based on the story by eminent Bengali writer Subodh Ghosh who was also a member of the screen adaptation team.
